Flower Scanograms

Here's some flower scanography I did for Chuck Lohman's Alternative Photographic Processes class. Got to try some old and new alternative techniques of photography. Great way to jump-start the old creativity!

These flower scanograms were done on a regular scanner in a dark room with the lid up. All of the plants and flowers were from my back yard. I originally tried covering the flowers with a black velvet cloth, but it flattened everything out too much, and the composition was hard to control - the lid-up approach worked best for me.
