This is a photo I took in the studio and turned into a composite. This is a lot more work than it looks like, but it seems like it could be a an interesting direction to go!
This is a photographic Still Life series that I'm currently working on. Thesewere created using a technique called "painting with light." I used a Mag-Lite flashlight in a darkened room to "paint" the subjects with light, creating a warm, old world painterly look.
These are my final images for the Smart Phone Imaging class. I took these with my iPhone 4S, using the Hipstamatic app. Springdale is an interesting place. Not many people get to see it, as it's privately owned now by a friend of ours. I always get a kick out of photographing the area because it has a lot of history. The buildings are slowly deteriorating over time, so I'm trying to capture some of them before the "fall." It covers over 400 acres, so I don't think I'll run out of things to photograph for a while.
Went to a winery on the way home from the Apple Fest in California-on the way back to Reno. The land is pretty parched right now, looks like CA could really use some rain..
